The School of Accountancy offers quality accounting education and research. The programs offered in the School of Accountancy are:

Teaching Mission

The teaching mission of the Department of Accounting is to produce outstanding graduates by offering comprehensive, state-of-the-art bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and continuing professional education programs. The school seeks to provide its students with unique opportunities for personal and professional growth based on increasing their knowledge and understanding of the world around them and by improving their skills for learning, analyzing, and critical thinking.

Advisory Council

The School of Accountancy has professional relationships and business partnerships with many leaders in Atlanta’s private and public companies. Student Organizations

The School of Accountancy supports the work of a number of vibrant student organizations, including Beta Alpha Psi, National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), Association for Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA), Pan Asian Leaders in Finance and Accounting (ASCEND), Institue of Internal Auditors, and Tau Alpha Chi. Learn more about these student organizations »

Rankings

According to the most recent CPA Personnel Report, the graduate accounting program is ranked 15th in the nation.

In “America’s Best Graduate Schools 2013,” published March, 2012 by U.S. News & World Report, the graduate accountancy program is ranked at #27 in the nation.
